Underground Storage Case Study: Propane Powers Vista View Community in Michigan

Many builders are choosing to use propane to power entire residential developments. Sable Developing Inc. recently did so in Solon Township, Michigan, an area 20 miles north of Grand Rapids, in a well-developed but rural community, complete with subdivisions, residential areas, and small farms.

Sable's Vista View residential community features four 1,000-gallon underground tanks that produce enough gas to fuel 82 homes. Each residence is equipped with high-efficiency propane appliances and plumbed to fuel outdoor rooms that can include lifestyle options such as pool heaters, hot tubs, grills, and garage heaters.
